The term deposit rate is the agreed interest rate for your term deposit. It remains fixed for the term of the deposit. For example, if you deposit $5,000 for 12 months at a 2.5 per cent term deposit rate, that 2.5 per cent term deposit rate will be fixed for the entire 12 months and won’t change until the term. Conditions apply. Offer excludes corporate, institutional and government customers. If you are on a special rate and your Term Deposit rolls over automatically, the Term Deposit may be automatically re-invested at a lower rate than the current interest rate.

2. Confirmation, Maturity, Renewal and Repayment advices sent. Once your fixed term ends, you can withdraw your funds by bank cheque, cash or direct credit into another bank account.

How to apply online?

To open a term deposit account online, you will need to have a transactional account with Arab Bank Australia and access to internet banking (aba.online).

When applying for a transactional account, you will be able to sign up for internet banking in the process.

This transactional account is required to hold your money until you successfully open your term deposit account and transfer your money across. Once you have opened a transactional account and have access to our internet banking facility aba.online, you will be able to apply for a term deposit online using your online ID and password.
